A creative KindleBoards member has modified her Amazon Leather Kindle 2 cover to create the striking red cover shown above.
Removing the inner skeleton of her Amazon case, LunarEarthMama wrapped it in faux leather and glued the inner shell back in. She provides notes and pictures in this Accessories board thread.
Here’s another photo of her finished project, which nicely takes advantage of the excellent hinge attachment mechanism in the Amazon case. That hinge mechanism grabs the Kindle 2 securely using the built-in notches on the Kindle’s left edge.
