A model's murder takes Cuddy into the jaws of the Boston mob
She was born Tina Danucci, but modeled as Mau Tim Dani., Her friends find the slender beauty strangled to death in her apartment, a priceless necklace of hers nowhere in sight. The police dismiss the murder as an impossible-to-solve botched robbery, so the insurance company hires John Francis Cuddy to do what the homicide detectives can't. But there's something the cops know that Cuddy doesn't: Tina's murder isn't just hard to solve, it could be deadly.

Tina was the granddaughter of Tommy "the Temper" Danucci, the invisible face of the Boston mafia. She turned her back on him to become a model, but hers is the kind of family that never forgets a child. Once Danucci learns that the police have lo...

A month ago I would of said my sink kindle 3, but after a week now with my fire, I'm actually finding myself using it 100% of the time, and I shut down my kindle 3 and am thinking of sending it to my mom.

My own order of preference: iPad, Fire, then Kindle. Though I rarely even pick up the Fire, not even sure why I bought it...

I prefer my Kindle Touch for almost all my reading.  Occasionally, at night I'll use my Fire because I don't especially like the angle of the light on the 'lighted book cover' when I'm lying down.
I almost never use my iPad to read. (I know that's not part of the poll, but some have weighed in, so...)

My answer is both.... I read most of my books on my kk but I like to read the books with pictures on my fire... because it has color. and I also like my recipe books on my fire. just because I don't want my kk in the kitchen. I have a stand for my fire and it is not sitting right on the counter.

Hands down, the kindle. I am one of those folks who can't sleep if they stare at a screen before bed. There is actually software to modify the blue light levels on Ipad/mac for this very reason. Nothing yet for the Fire that I am aware.

I read on my KK and I keep my school notes on my fire (a lot of images and highlights). My fire is used for anything other than reading. I use it for school to lightened on load and reduced my printing.

Um, originally it was worded differently and I couldnt vote...therefore couldnt see the results (unless I wanted to mess up the results).

But it's been changed, thanks!

For just reading, it's gotta be a regular Kindle. The screen makes such a difference, because I can read on it forever and it never bothers my eyes.

I think the poll's results will be quite obvious - hence the marketing of the Kindle as an "e-READer" and the Fire as a "media device"...   I wonder how many of the Fire's buyers are actually using their devices for reading - or at least what % of their usage of the Fire is for reading... that could be a secondary/follow up poll question...

I probably split my reading up pretty evenly between my Fire and my eInk Kindle - reading in bed is the Fire for sure, and reading in low light I tend to reach for the Fire now instead of eInk and a book light.   When there's good light or I'm outside, or I know I'll be reading for a good long while, I'll use eInk.  But I've been surprised at how much I use the Fire for reading - I'd expected I'd only use it for reading in bed, but that hasn't been the case.
