A model's murder takes Cuddy into the jaws of the Boston mob
She was born Tina Danucci, but modeled as Mau Tim Dani., Her friends find the slender beauty strangled to death in her apartment, a priceless necklace of hers nowhere in sight. The police dismiss the murder as an impossible-to-solve botched robbery, so the insurance company hires John Francis Cuddy to do what the homicide detectives can't. But there's something the cops know that Cuddy doesn't: Tina's murder isn't just hard to solve, it could be deadly.

Tina was the granddaughter of Tommy "the Temper" Danucci, the invisible face of the Boston mafia. She turned her back on him to become a model, but hers is the kind of family that never forgets a child. Once Danucci learns that the police have lo...

I wanted to re-post a warning about The Reading Site. It's a site that offers free books for life for a one time payment of $49.95.
Below is a cut of the post warning the good Kindle folks here.
Just letting you know. There have been Zero responses to emails requesting a refund. And I mean ZERO Responses. Buyers beware
Cut and paste from my original post 30 days ago
I found several book club sites that I showed my wife and we both got excited. We read the tease page over and over before joining. Big Mistake.
the site we joined "thereadingsite.com" had 6-7 books at the bottom of their page. The one I remember most is Steve Jobs. They talked about 100,000's books for free, never pay a fee. Also had Comics, Newspapers. All free forever, just for paying a $49.95 one time fee.
They offered a 60 day, money back promise. So as much as My wife reads we decided to give it a shot. We paid our money, got the user ID and password, signed in, and spent 10 minutes on the site, including 5 reading instructions, before we realised that we prob just lost $50. The DataBase page has 30,000 books in the database, not the 100,000s they promised. The list of the most popular could have been copied straight from Amazon's Free Book list. Sherlock Holmes, Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, Dracula. The same books free from, Amazon, Gutenburg, manybooks etc. The Jacket covers are still there at the bottom of the page for current best sellers. When you click on New Releases it takes you to the bookstore, where the books are listed for sale, almost everyone at more than what you can find pricewise on Amazon. Took 10 minutes to figure we'd been had. Searched site for a way to cancel. Finally found it and clicked and was taken off site to a company called Plimus Clicked for the refund. Now waiting for even a response. 3 days ago. There were several connected sites offering this $49.95 for free, for life books. If it looks to good to be true, IT HAS to be! I'll follow up on how fast I get the refund.  It was one of those moments when we looked at each other and knew we'd been had. Readers beware. Rick and Noni

Thanks for the heads up, but as you said, "If it looks too good to be true, it has to be."  Hope you get your refund!
