A model's murder takes Cuddy into the jaws of the Boston mob
She was born Tina Danucci, but modeled as Mau Tim Dani., Her friends find the slender beauty strangled to death in her apartment, a priceless necklace of hers nowhere in sight. The police dismiss the murder as an impossible-to-solve botched robbery, so the insurance company hires John Francis Cuddy to do what the homicide detectives can't. But there's something the cops know that Cuddy doesn't: Tina's murder isn't just hard to solve, it could be deadly.

I have hundreds of ebooks purchased from Amazon, and a few dozen from another online source (specifically Baen).  Is it possible to upload those books to Amazon's servers so that they are in my library just like my Amazon-sourced books are?  Right now the Baen books only exist on my Kindle.  If I wanted to read one on my Fire, or from my phone, I can't do so.

Someone told me that he had heard this was possible now, but I cannot figure out how to do it.  Any ideas?

If the site you bought it from emails directly to your Kindle like Fictionwise or Baen do, just have them resend it. It will automatically be stored in your personal cloud. I went back and had those two sites resend about 150 books that I had purchased pver the last 2 years. If your site does not do that then just email the book to your kindle. It will then also be in your personal cloud and can be resent from there at any time.

Currently, the personal documents (books) can only be read on Kindle devices, not on Kindle apps.  This is why I invested in a second $79 Kindle... so one could stay in my purse for reading at any time and the other is on my bedside table. I like that they synchronize just like an Amazon book.

You can always sideload those books onto your Fire or phone.

True, but they won't synchronize across devices. I like to read just one book (for pleasure) at a time - plus I listen to a different audiobook in the car. Sometimes that is hard enough to keep separate. Smiley  I'm reading Dean Koontz's 71 Shadow Street and listening to Stephen King's 11-22-63.  Thank goodness they aren't both dark and evil stories!!
