A model's murder takes Cuddy into the jaws of the Boston mob
She was born Tina Danucci, but modeled as Mau Tim Dani., Her friends find the slender beauty strangled to death in her apartment, a priceless necklace of hers nowhere in sight. The police dismiss the murder as an impossible-to-solve botched robbery, so the insurance company hires John Francis Cuddy to do what the homicide detectives can't. But there's something the cops know that Cuddy doesn't: Tina's murder isn't just hard to solve, it could be deadly.

Tina was the granddaughter of Tommy "the Temper" Danucci, the invisible face of the Boston mafia. She turned her back on him to become a model, but hers is the kind of family that never forgets a child. Once Danucci learns that the police have lo...

I really can't believe it's been going on for 2-years now.  This was a random idea for a game that I just decided to start and it's been chugging away since then.  Now, it's the second anniversary, the start of the 3rd year, the 25th round in the game and I'm very pleased with it.

AND I decided to post here to invite all previous players from earlier rounds to play the anniversary game and invite all our newer members to come on in and play a round or 12.   For those unfamiliar with the game, it's simple.  You list your most common book genres as well as any deal-breakers you just wouldn't read.  Then you are assigned someone and someone else is assigned to you and everyone picks a book that is between those two.  You read it, comment on it and we all have a good time.  (there are one or two more details, but that's pretty much it.)

So, come one, come all, stress out about how good your selection will be, read something new, get addicted, .... Join us .... join us .... resistance is futile ... Smiley

I joined the Quasi Official Book Reading Game about six months ago.   Thanks to the Game, I've read a number of great books I would not have found on my own  Smiley

There is no stress involved - if the initial option(s) your selector picks for you have no appeal, you can ask for new choices.

Thanks Geoffrey for starting and moderating the Game!

I'm returning for this round (at least!). It's such a fun game, and I've enjoyed so many of my assigned books. And I love sharing the books that have touched me with others, too. Thanks for all your hard work, Geoffrey!

I found the game in its third or fourth month and have played every month since.  I have enjoyed so many books that would never have crossed my radar.  It is very fun and I encourage new players to join in.  Thanks you so much Geoffrey for all your hard work!

I haven't played the game in quite a while, but I did enjoy it a lot when I played.  Seems my TBR list is huge enough already, but I had been thinking of joining again this month and your post just pushed me over the edge, Geoffrey. I'll be hopping on over to the thread and signing up.
