amazon prime lending library questions

I tried to borrow a book on amazon prime but  bought it instead by mistake as the borrow botton didn't work.  As a matter or fact, I am finding it hard to get to the lending library and when I do, it doesn't give me the option to borrow.  It shows that I can....but doesn't give me the option.  I have returned my last one, the first one I borrowed and it was easy, so why can't I borrow again?

When did you  borrow the last one? You can only borrow one a month.

As chocochibi says, you can only borrow one book at a time and one a calendar month.  So, if you borrowed a book this month (January), you will not be able to borrow another book until February 1, even if you have returned your prior book.

You can only borrow straight from the Kindle.  If you attempted to borrow that last book from you computer that's why you bought it instead.
