OK does anyone know of any good reaper books?
I need some more of them.
I like the series by Rachel Vincent: Soul Screamers. Even though they weren't the main supernatural. Loved the TV show Dead Like Me. So got any suggestions?

All I can think oh at the moment is one called Black Wings. Can't think of the author at the moment. Looks interesting, but I'm on an epic fantasy kick again lately and not reading paranormal or urban.
::Just looked it up:: The author is Christina Henry.

You may have already heard of this book. If so, I apologize, please disregard. Piers Anthony wrote a book called On a Pale Horse that was about a man who killed Death and had to take his place. It was quite a good book and I'm sure it'll be right up your alley since you want to read about reapers. Hope this helps you.

Just adding my comment so that I can follow this thread... I LOVED Dead Like Me (WHY DO ALL THE GOOD SHOWS GET CANCELLED?!?!) but, man, I can't think of a single Reaper book! I've downloaded the samples of the ones mentioned here and will check back for more! It is such a great premise... Surely they've got to be out there...

I don't know if these would fit, as I'm not familiar with the other books mentioned, but maybe the "Death" story arc of "Discworld": Mort, Reaper Man, and Hogfather feature the incarnation of Death as a main character (along with the Death of Rats in the supporting cast).

Nothing comes to mind, but if you like manga, Bleach has a lot of reapers, though they may not be what you're looking for.

Hi,
I haven't read it but a friend suggested the Grim Reaper's Novice - Cecelia Robert. Young chick lit fantasy but ok.
For me though Piers Anthony On A Pale Horse as has already been mentioned, is an excellent read, though on the lighter side of fantasy.
As for Dead Like Me - yes great show. Two seasons and a wrap up movie wasn't enough. But it did better then Wonderfalls by the same guy, which was simply brilliant.
Cheers, Greg.

I haven't read this one yet, but it's been on my TBR list for awhile. Looks like there are quite a few books out in the series now (I'm always behind!).
