Over in the Writer's cafe there's a long running thread about updated blogs
I was curious if anyone who mostly hangs out here in the Book Corner had a blog and maybe you'd like to share it with the other readers here? Especially if you blog about literacy or reading or things of that nature?

Doesn't this topic steer towards self-promotion? But to the subject, I updated my personal blog today

As I said, there is a similar thread in the Writer's Cafe and it's over a dozen pages long
Since there is a good chance the two hang outs are somewhat exclusive.... (Writer's cafe being a hang out for writers and Book Corner exclusive to, well, readers, one type of person may not even be aware of the other and I figure that even the casual reader might have an interesting blog that touches upon reading and someone else might be interested in)
The Mods are more than free to move this thread or close it but I should think we should be okay in that regard besides.... no-one is forced to post here if they feel they'd rather not
Hope that's a bit clearer

Well G as I said, the same type of thread is in the writer's cafe which is a roundtable of sorts for writers and thats been around a long time. Now yes, some people have blogs AND webpages where the self promo stuff is separated and some dont
But as for self promotion nearly all of us have our books in the signature every time we post
But again I thought since there are a number of readers here in Book Corner who rarely visit the Cafe might have an interesting blog or webpage about reading or literature that some folks here might be interested
again- I have no problem at all if the Mods decide to move or delete this thread I'm an easy going kinda guy just trying to think up interesting comments here and there

The last time I updated it was last February. Guess I either need to delete it or update it.

I uodated my blog with a reaction to Stephen Colbert's interview with Maurice Sendak, author & illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are. There were a few surprises in that interview. And I provide a link to it. http://MadCityWriter.blogspot.com

I used to blog about things book related. Now I pretty much blog about whatever suits my fancy. I post regularly, every MWF. I was for awhile trying to build a platform/gain an audience, but I found I just didn't have the time to promote my blog that way. So now I blog for whoever is interested, with no real agenda. I do of course welcome visitors! http://tamarahartheiner.blogspot.com

I'm still not sold that this is the proper place for this thread so I'm locking it while we discuss in the smoke filled moderator cave. UPDATE: I split out one of the posts to create a new thread about book blogs we use and I'm going to leave this one locked in favor of the other one .... I think this will lead to a more constructive, interesting conversation.
