I'm a new author who just discovered Kindle Boards! I've been working on a historical romance book series, and published the first one at the beginning of the year, and just this week published Book 2. I am currently writing Book 4. The Series is called the Yellowstone Romance Series.
Book 1 Yellowstone Heart Song blurb: Nurse and avid backpacker Aimee Donovan is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. She encounters a patient who tells her he can send her two hundred years into the past to spend three months in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness at the dawn of the mountain man era. The only requirement: she cannot tell anyone that she’s from the future.
How did a white woman suddenly appear in the remote Rocky Mountain wilderness? Trapper Daniel Osborne’s first instinct is to protect this mysterious and unconventional woman from the harsh realities of his mountains. While he fights his growing attraction to her, he is left frustrated by her lies and secrecy.
Daniel shows Aimee a side of Yellowstone she’s never experienced. She is torn between her feelings for him, and exposing a secret that will destroy everything he holds as truth. As her three months come to an end, she is faced with a dilemma: return to her own time, or stay with the man who opened her eyes to a whole new world. When the decision is made for her, both their lives will be changed forever.
Book 2 Yellowstone Redemption blurb: City boy Chase Russell is on the fast track to self-destruction. A star athlete, he gets into trouble with drugs and alcohol. Fulfilling a community service sentence in Yellowstone National Park is the last thing he wants to do. After a night of drinking in the park, he wakes up to find his new friends gone, and everything around him has changed.
Sarah Osborne grew up in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness. She can hunt and track right alongside the most experienced men. When some Indians drop a near-dead man off on her doorstep, she doesn’t know what to think. He’s convinced he’s from the future, and wants to find a way home.
Chase has no idea how he ended up time traveling to the past. He doesn’t know the first thing about surviving without modern conveniences. Finding your own food means a quick trip to the nearest fast food joint, not hunting and foraging for it. Time and again, his will is tested to stay alive in this untamed land. Is his growing love for a brave woman who shows him what it truly means to be a man strong enough to keep him in the past, or is he still determined to return to the ease and comforts of the future?

Book 3, Yellowstone Awakening, is released! A tender, heartfelt love story . . . A man willing to risk everything, including his life and all he’s worked for, to free the woman he loves from an impossible situation. Kyle Russell has worked with prominent men, led scouting expeditions through the Yellowstone country, and irritated more than a few Indian braves, but he will never duplicate his father’s legendary accomplishments. Captured by a group of Crow warriors, his plans of escape are derailed when a lone white woman is brought into camp. Kate Ellen Devereaux is on the run. Her guardian is dead, and she is lost in the Yellowstone wilderness. Found by an Indian war party, she is brought into their camp and thrown at the feet of a white captive. If he has plans of escape, she won’t be left behind. Kyle’s father may be a legend in the territory, but he never had to deal with an eastern lady full of secrets, a woman who disrupts Kyle’s plans to see the Yellowstone area turned into a national park. Convincing her that they are destined to be together may be a greater challenge than gaining support for the park movement. Kate can’t afford to show interest in any man, regardless of her growing attraction to her backwoods rescuer. Will her ultimate reason for rejecting him spell doom for their growing love, and the national park idea, or can Kyle find a way to rescue both?

Latest review ( 5 stars) for Yellowstone Heart Song:
I stumbled on this book and took a chance. Having loved Yellowstone since I first visited it when I was 16 it sounded like something I may enjoy.
Wow!! I have found a new author to add to my favorites. This book drew me in right from the start and wouldn't let go. The characters have a lot of depth and as the reader I felt the entire range of emotions they were feeling. What an ending! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.

I've downloaded your free book today, Peggy, and I can't wait to get to it. My Kindle is groaning under the weight of all those on it right now, but your description makes me want to move your time-travel to the top of my list. Best of luck with what I know is bound to be a best selling series.

Latest reviews for Yellowstone Heart Song ( Six 5 star reviews on Amazon, plus one on Amazon UK)
"It's so fantastically original. I've never read anything quite like it. I can honestly say I absolutely loved reading this book. The beginning was exhilarating. I was blown away at the first chapter. It catches attention and doesn't let go until the end. I adored the back-in-time vibe, the hot-but-not-crude writing style, and all the outdoor learning sessions. I love being able to learn new things by reading an awesome book! .... Ms. Henderson is her own person, tells her own story (not a story that's already been published by another author), and is so impressive!"
"I couldn't wait to start reading Yellowstone Heart Song. Ms. Henderson has brought the beauty of this majestic landscape to life with the time travelling story of Aimee and Daniel....Not only do we have Yellowstone National Park in a time untouched by tourism and a ruggedly, sexy alpha male mountain man, we have a fiercely independent heroine suddenly thrust 200 years in the past and left to survive in the wilderness on her own."
"This book had it all. The time travel was done in a believable way, the romance was so great, the setting beautiful and the characters were wonderful."

The Yellowstone Romance Series - Five-star reviews across the board!
I am not a fan of time travel books, but the description and reviews told me I needed to read this book. I did read it, and immediately thereafter I began reading Yellowstone Redemption, followed by book #3 and I am just starting to read Yellowstone Dawn. Ms. Henderson has sent me on a mental vacation to Yellowstone! Her writing is so descriptive that I felt as if I were in Montana. I loved how she described the changes to Yellowstone National Park, and how she blended the past and present time. Her characters are people you would want to be associated with. These stories and the characters are going to stay with me long after I closed the final page.
Once again Peggy Henderson has wrote an amazing book! Its not offten you find a set that all the books are that good to read! Can't wait to see what she writes next!

Latest review for the Yellowstone Romance Series
I don't normally do reviews of books or series, but I just had to this time. I just finished the Yellowstone Romance series, and I'm waiting impatiently for the next book to come out. I've had my Kindle for a year and a half, and these were the best books I've read in all that time.

Another 5 star review this week for Yellowstone Heart Song. I haven't read a really good time-travel romance in a long time...until now. I was a little worried when I started out and read the prologue. Once past that I was lost in the descriptions of Yellowstone and the story of Amiee and Daniel. Having never been to Yellowstone Park, I could see it very clearly through the eyes of this author as she described it to me, not only from Amiee's current view (the past) but of how she remembered it from the future. It was genius. The love story between the two was intriguing as Amiee is not a simple, "lost-in-time" helpless female. She had knowledge and lack-of-skill which only added to the dynamic between the two. And Daniel is every woman's dream - a virile, mountain man with a soft heart. There was enough action to keep the plot moving but not so much that it overshadowed the love story. That said, I was almost sad when I neared the end the book. I expected the next book to be about Jana and Dan, but not to be. I was thrilled to see that there are four books in this series and can't wait to start on number two! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=digital-text&field-author=Peggy%20L%20Henderson
