What is reality?  What if you could change it just using your mind and will? 14 year old Brett Shelldon is about to discover just how dangerous that sort of power is. And just how hard it is not to misuse it.  In the process, he will suffer a tragedy, come face to face with a homicidal maniac and have to try and find some way to prevent everyone around him from falling under the charismatic power of a madman.  But if he figures it all out, he may survive the week.  And maybe, just maybe, get the upper hand on his little sister for once.

Beyond Disbelief is the first volume in the Society of Illusionists Chronicles, a young adult series with action, mystery and fantasy elements.



Edited to add - Scott Poe at Indie Book Blog gave Beyond Disbelief a 4 star review on Amazon yesterday.  Final verdict -

"Overall I would say that this is a good book for ages 13+ especially if the person is interested in magic as there is a good amount of info on the tricks within. The book also had a good ending where the story contained was solidly wrapped up, but the way into the next was presented to continue to attract interest. I'm not a fan of cliff hanger endings so a good wrap-up always scores points with me."
