How many books have you bought this year?

I've only purchased a couple books so far this year. That's an incredibly low number for me, but it's a combination of having a backlog of books in my TBR pile, tons of freebies, Christmas presents, and the wonderful resource that is the public library.

I am a re-reader, so I generally cycle between:
- read a new book (or series if the first book catches me)
- re-read a favourite book (or series, if I'm put off by the last new book I bought).

I have 25 books in my unread folder.

This year, I haven't bought anything yet. I still have the 4 books I bought end of last year to go through, and also I downloaded a lot of J.A. Konrath's free books - since it's my kind of books, and I wanted to read them anyway, I loaded up when he made them free at the end of 2011. I probably won't read them all this year, but I'm glad to have them as an option between my re-reading.

I also am re-buying all my library, one by one. I want them in digital format, and to read them in english (all the books I bought since I was a young girl are in french, since at that time english books were rare and pricey).

My reading habits are quite unusual, but I don't have much time to read with my day planning, so it's an unusual treat when I can spend the evening spread on the couch with my Kindle.
