It's a good time to be a Piers Anthony fan.  I was digging through Amazon and first I saw that his Bio of a Space Tyrant novels are reduced:  the first is free and the rest are $.99.  (this is science fiction with humanity spread out across the solar system and based heavily on geopolitics from 30 years ago - in a good way   Cheesy)

Then on Valentines Day, The first 5 of the Incarnations of Immortality will be released.   (OK, well 4 will - number three has been inexplicably available for years)  This is a fantasy series set around incarnations of Death, Time, Fate, War, Nature, Evil and Good.  (Evil is my favorite, BTW)

AND, also on Valentines Day, the first three in the Apprentice Adept series will also be available (and, book two is already, inexplicably already there) This is a Science Fiction and a Fantasy portal series where two worlds coexist - one magical and the other high technology - and a guy who finds himself moving between the two.

Now I just need to work them into my reading schedule ....

I have used Audible.com to get these 3..
I listen to them on my way to/from school... over an hour a day.

These look really great, I'm going to have to check them out. I'm more of a fantasy reader than a SF reader, but sometimes a good scifi novel catches my fancy. Your brief synopsis of this series reminds me somewhat of the Lon Tobyn Chronicles by David B. Coe I read when I was a fourteen-ish year old.

Thanks for the post.  The descriptions and image/links are particularly helpful.

And this last trilogy looks especially intriguing...

Thanks Geoffrey. I remember trying a few of his years ago....but I'm still not a fantasy fan.

But this will give me an opportunity to try him again.

oh, and regarding the Incarnations of Immortality books, books 6 and 7 were published through a different publisher, which is why book 5 is sometimes listed as the conclusion of the series.

..And Eternity isn't something I miss that much but For the Love of Evil is one of my favorite Anthony novels - I especially love the story of how he becomes the Incarnation of Evil.

I picked up all the Bio books yesterday. I've never read them before and they look like they're going to be good. Great price, too!

I like And Eternity for the wrap up.  I LOVE For Love of Evil because he does a great job of showing the whole story from a differentt POV...

Thanks for letting  me know about the Apprentice Adept series finally becoming available on Kindle.

I actually named my blog after that series.  Wink

When I interviewed Mr. Anthony, he had said he was working with publishers to make his books available on the Kindle. It's great to see that his hard work is paying off.  Smiley

I'll be purchasing the series to read it on my Kindle. I've already read it several times, but hey, what's one more, right?  Cheesy

I immediately thought of you!  And I haven't read the series in ages, since my PBs fell apart so...

just as an fyi... And Eternity is no longer the final book in the series... He wrote one last book, about Nox..You can pick it up in Mobi format on his HiPiers.com website... though (blasphemy here, I know) it was truly forgettable and NOT up to the snuff of the rest of the series..

My favorite 2 were With A Tangled Skein and For Love of Evil...

I'm ignoring that book and still claiming For Love of Evil is the last book.  Actually, I'm ignoring a few of his newer books.

Geoffrey, Thanks.

He was one of my favorite authors years ago.  Isn't it great that authors can be timeless.  Gotta go get them.

I love his Xanth series, but I've actually never tried any of his other books. This seems like a great time to look into some of his other series. Thanks for sharing. This was a really useful post. Smiley

It's high time Piers Anthony had a resurgence.

Agreed! This is a great chance to load up my Kindle. Anthony is one of the giants in sci-fi and fantasy.
