Discovered something weird this morning.  My newest title that I just uploaded yesterday got mis-categorized as erotica somehow.

There's nothing erotic about it.  It's not even a romance.  There's actually more violence in it than sex.
I have no idea how this even happened.

How do I go about correcting this?

Email KDP. If you go to your dashboard, Community, and Help Pages in the top part, there's a "Contact Us" in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. You'll probably have to scroll down to see it.

Thanks David. Smiley  Yeah, I did just that.  Also double-checked that I had the categories set right on my end.
I guess now I just have to wait and see...

It took a few emails for a book of mine that was mis-categorized as erotica to get adjusted. Once I provided some comp titles that were not classified on the Amazon site as erotica they kindly changed the cats back to the ones I initially requested.

One thing to watch out for: If there's a key word triggering their bot to reclassify, once the book is changed it's possible the next time the bot runs the book will be changed back to erotica again. This happened with my book. After the second round of emails, they apparently flagged my title so that it wouldn't be auto-changed in the future, and I haven't had any problem since.

Send Amazon an email. They should be able to clear it up for you no problemo.
