Okay, all arguments as to the appropriateness of the thread I won't mention aside, I think Julie has hit upon something brilliant and something completely fun. Let's all do stick figure drawings of what our book covers would look like if, in fact, we had stick figure covers. I know this won't approach the comedic, terrifying brilliance of the David thread, and he-who-shall-not-be-named Zardoz won't be on here, but hey. Doesn't this sound like fun?

Now, if I can figure out how to a. draw my cover, and b. upload my cover, we'll be set! Maybe someone else can figure it out and let those of us who are technologically ignorant know. Smiley

Here you go. Crystal Shade stick figure art. It was one of the first marketing materials, as one of the early arts of the main character, but it would look good as a stick figure cover as well. Smiley

I actually just spent about fifteen minutes with a ruler drawing two proportionately-correct stick figures, which I think kind of defeats the purpose...

I'm not really up to this challenge. I'm going to enlist a REAL stick artist. Who is 5. She works for chocolate milk, too.

Oh come on, people!  Give me stick figures! Or I will be forced to create more of my own art.

NOBODY WANTS THAT!

Disclaimer - this cover was not created by, is not endorsed by, and will not be supported by Streetlight Graphics. (If I didn't put that in here, Glendon would shoot me. Or make me sleep on the couch or something.)

This is so much more evocative than the current cover, don't you think?

Posted two of them on my blog. But they're not actually composed of stick figures...just MS Paint Representations. Tongue

Fun thread! So here is the actual stick-figure idea for my cover that I sent to the artist. Looking at the before and after, she's rather a miracle worker! And, I... well, I am so not an artist!
