I am sure many of you are skilled at various programs for authoring your Kindle wares, but has anyone looked into the latest offerings from Apple - the iBooks authoring capabilities specifically. I heard they were opening this platform up quite a bit.

Also - and this might be more relevant to me as a comics creator but eventually more important to authors as a whole - the company graphic.ly has recently opened up their authoring platform to beta testers. Not sure how many people here feel about it, but if your creations ever become more graphics intensive the interactive tools on Graphic.ly could be interesting. Personally I think it's a mean for them to reduce staff in the long run which is sad.

I for one am sticking to Kindle almost exclusively until some of the dust settles in the other camps.

I think that for now Apple is mostly concerned with text books but I'm keeping an eye out for any moves they might make in the future towards indie authors.

I've never heard of graphic.ly. It looks interesting but perhaps mainly for comic book writers and writers of children's illustrated books? I'll check it out though. Thanks.
