I was curious - for those that receive them, what's shown on Amazon's mailed checks? Does it include a breakdown of titles, or is it just a generic lump sum for a publisher?

And they don't tell you they have sent it. Angry You just have to await its arrival. If a cheque should go missing you might never know as they are not sent at regular intervals. You have to wait until they amount to $100 or more, and that's not easy to work out because of tax etc.. Cry

Anyone frame their first Amazon check? I'm curious what they look like.

I've got all mine scanned into my computer as I have to forward them to the UK to avoid horrendous fees and a long wait here and a couple of them have got lost in the post  Tongue.

I took a picture of it, but I cashed it because I really needed the money. lol

The read-out just shows the month and the lump sum paid. If the check is for multiple months, I think it will break that down, but I've never seen it personally. (Saw it on my print book checks, so maybe that is what I remember.)

If you're in the Amazon affiliate program, the email that tells you if you got paid or not generally marks the waiting start for me. 3 days later, my check has arrived almost like clockwork.

You get an invoice attached to the cheque. It will give you the invoice date, and the description will just say  e.g July 2011 Kindle Direct Publishing. There's no breakdown.
