KDP just blocked a few of my books. No letters from them, no explanation. Did you have this problem?

Maybe they have a policy on foreign language novels? I notice a few of your books are in Russian.

Yes, some are in Russian and they are selling well. Kindle supports Cyrillic characters. It just doesn't make sense to not allow books in Russian.

Maybe it doesn't make sense, but this is what it says on the "supported languages" page:

Quote
Authors and publishers can upload and sell books to customers in the Kindle Store worldwide which are written in these languages:

• English
• French
• German
• Spanish
• Portuguese
• Italian

We're unable to support character-based languages or entries (including Eastern European characters, Japanese letters, Russian characters, etc.). We are working to add this option in the future.

I should add that this list of languages is also on the very first page for KDP, so it's not like they're being deceptive or obscure about it.

I would contact them and ask what the problem is. I doubt that it's the language - especially if Kindle supports Kyrilic characters - especially since there are lots of books in languages that are not among the "officially supported" languages. Maybe there's a content or cover issue, e.g. someone mistook the naked and mutilated Barbie doll for a real woman.

Thank you Cora. I have contacted them, now I have to wait for an answer. It's very disappointing because the books have been selling. Just strange.
But Barbie is not naked! Grin Actually this book has a different cover now and one of three that had survived... I just don't know for how long.

Ah, I see now that she is wearing a flesh-coloured/pink mini-dress. Still, maybe someone complained.

I had this happen to Dead of Night at one point. It turned out to just be a maintenance glitch. I emailed KDP Support and got it unblocked within a day or so.

Thank you Nick! It's good to hear. Maybe I have the same problem. I hope my letter to KDP wasn't too pleading. I freaked out to see four books being blocked.

Cora, it might be, but I hope it wasn't. There're legs on a cover now though. Pretty popular image among the covers.
