CONGRATULATIONS! What an incredible accomplishment, especially when many other people would have given up after the experience you describe w/ agents, etc. (been there, heh). Whether you prefer champagne or a DQ Blizzard, I think you deserve to go for it today!

Going to check them out right now - and take a screenshot of that milestone! You'll want to frame it. Congrats!

Total Congrats Sybil! I saw that Priscilla the Great was climbing in the Free Kindle store to the Top 100. Hope it makes it in! You just keep telling yourself you totally deserve it. Not to mention the royalty check helps pay the bills. I agree with the screen shot framing. Totally, bask in the moment.

Thanks all!
Is it wrong that I want to write a letter to my former agent and let him know? Not in a "na-nanny-boo-boo stick your head in do-do" kind of way, but in a "hey, things are going great" kind of way. I'm so happy I decided to do go through with this. I could still be waiting around to get that phone call from a major publisher with my manuscripts wasting away on my computer. But instead, I now have 10k people who decided to purchase my work.
It will be better when someday, you run into him at a conference and he asks you what you are up to and you reply, Oh, I'm the keynote speaker tonight. =-) Still, I know the feeling.

So proud of you Sybil! We only lose when we give up! I love your covers for the ballet stories, by the way. I wouldn't write the agent... he or she will want to get a piece!
