Hello all,

For anyone who has read WIDOW'S TALE, or anyone that is interested in romantic suspense and danger in coastal Maine villages, I have posted the first chapter of VICTORY COVE on my website.  Victory Cove is the town in which WIDOW'S TALE takes place.  Many of the characters have returned, but this is a story of Jake Grogan and Megan Summers.  Jake is in Victory Cove to discover his heritage.  Megan is looking for a place remote enough to hide from her enemy....

If you have a few moments, please stop by for a preview.  I'm still in the editing stages so I would welcome any feedback.  Your advice could very well impact the finished product!  Smiley

Looks good, Miss Miller!  But Sam Adams?  What happened to the Allagash?  Seriously, I liked it.  A few typos here and there.  Nothing major.  I like typos.  Hell, I like Samuel Adams.  He was a good president, wasn't he?  And yes, I believe that I will enjoy reading this book as well.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on the new work.  Brendan

WOW! I had no idea that there was another book coming..... I am glad though! Grin I saw the title way up at the top and thought....Hmmmmm... that sounds like Maureen Miller's kind of book and looky here! It is, can't wait to grab one.

I actually found a friend of mine's birth parents. She became really close to her father, but her mother turned her away! Said she was evil! She was mentally unstable. Interesting though to find them. All I had was two first names and a birth city. I found them by investigating the yellow pages etc. at the library from way over in Southeast Texas and they were in San Diego! That was before cell phones too, lots of answering machines and phone tag! Really cool that she was welcomed by her dad. Turns out his oldest daughter looks just like my friend (like their father) and none of his other nine children did! Both of the eldest girls were excited to meet they looked like twins! That was like 17 years ago, they are all still close too.

Hey Brendan, sorry about the typos.  I see that I hadn't hit "Publish" on my web page yet, so that was truly a work in process posted out there.  It should be better now.  Of course, this all still needs that final round of editing...that merciless, cold round of editing where words are stripped, great scenes are yanked...all in the name of a viable finished product.  Embarrassed

Miss Meredith, you could start a business!  I may use you as a consult as I'm going back through this.  That's really an inspiring story.   Smiley

Please, please.  No apologies!  My toypos are monemuntal or something like that.  I enjoyed the chapter and you said it wasn't ready.  I hate editing, but love writing!  Don't strip anything... out of the book, I mean.  If anything, add more description of the scenery for us Mainiacs Roll Eyes. You know I told you how much I want to visit Maine before I go off to those happy keyboards in the sky.  Thanks again for the sneak peak... er, peek.   Wink
