======================================
** THIS IS THE NEW RE-EDITED EDITION ** ( As of 07/12/2009 )
(FIRST BOOK in an ongoing Series - The Pray Series)
=====================================
INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS !
A Psychopath stalks and attacks Exotic Dancers; always leaving them horrifically scarred and barely alive; with an agenda much deeper than anyone could ever imagine.
The Story unfolds in one of the mostly unlikely of places... Asheville, North Carolina, where crime has always been notoriously low. However, with the opening of Asheville's first Adult Entertainment Club in 2002, that all changes.
Detective Steve Layton, of the Sheriff's Sex Crimes Division, is solely assigned to the case initially, as the first attack is considered an isolated incident. However, when the second and third victims emerge, Jimmy "Buster" Cagle, the local Sheriff, assigns Layton some help.
Soon thereafter, Detective Layton learns that the Psychopath he is after, was also responsible for a crime that was personal to him. The routine investigation now becomes a personal manhunt by the Detective. He trusts no one, and will stop at nothing to catch this sick and twisted individual... and kill him.
The story also takes you deep into the life of the Police Detective determined to catch one of the world's most sadistic, modern day criminals.

You also declare it to be a 'NYT best-seller candidate' what, exactly, does that mean, and how does one come to be a NYT best-seller candidate? All books are best seller candidates -- it's just that few of them achieve their potential (and that's in any one of those categories, of which he was even more specific; being a NYT bestseller requires a lot more sales than any self-published Kindle book will probably achieve at any time in the near future). (P.S. The reviewer you have mentioned is a respected (if known to be critical) reviewer. I would imagine she knows the difference between dialect and derelict. Never argue with an honest review. Obviously, since you have gone back and edited your work, she had at least one leg to stand on.)
Or perhaps he made it up? From reading the original, unedited sample, I'd suspect that Cash's spell checker doesn't know the difference (assuming that Cash himself does). I notice that "review" is now missing from his post (unless perhaps Richard or Stephen had a prior life that they are keeping under warps).

Folks, let's not get into semantics. . . . .Cash has re-edited his book. . . . .there's no need to comment on whether or not it is, was, or ever will be a best seller since that's not mentioned in his OP. Again, please leave all baggage from the Amazon forums at the door when you come to KindleBoards. Thanks. (Betsy and I are in agreement on this one!)

All: To clarify: there are clearly hard feelings floating around. . . .I encourage everyone to engage on KindleBoards with courtesy. As a test to whether you are doing so, ask yourself, "Would I be having this reaction if the poster instead was <someone I REALLY LIKE>." (I learned that one from Betsy! ) For the record, it is appropriate to correct factual errors; it is imperative that it be done without rudeness. A statement is sufficient without any additional commentary on the character of original poster: KB members are smart. We'll get your point. Ann (sorry. . .can't find my hat this morning, just got up!)

Folks, We in general request that reviews from Amazon not be posted in the book threads, but that instead authors provide a link to their book on Amazon. Our members are definitely capable of looking up reviews. Cash has complied with our forum rules and removed the snippet reviews in his Book Announcement. Accordingly, I'm requesting that the posts regarding those snippets end. I'm going to look at the thread to determine if any posts which refer to them should be removed as they no longer are pertinent (including this post). Finally, I'll remind ALL members, authors and readers alike, that we expect members to behave with courtesy to one another AND that what happened at Amazon should stay at Amazon. Thanks!
