Hello All, Introducing myself here to the forum. My name is Lucien Black and I have two books available on Kindle, No Vacancies, Volumes 1 & 2. No Vacancies is a series of short stories, some are stand-alone and some are multi-part and continue over future volumes. The first two books have met with some good success and wanted to share them with everyone here at the forum. Hey, Lucien. I took a look at your book pages and they should be interesting enough to get some attention here. I personally enjoy a good horror story from time to time and as soon as I get the hang of running my Kindle, I'll have to give your stories a looksee. Welcome to the boards. Your books do look interesting. They are priced just a tad over what I am normally willing to pay for an Indie author, but I did download the samples. I will purchase when I either run out of the lower priced books or get some more money.  |

Hi, Lucien! Have you considered running an introductory special? You might find good homes for a lot of copies at 0.99 (a limited time if you prefer). Better to get 3x the readers at 1/3 the price, say I! Just a thought,  'Archer' |

As far as the price is concerned, at a certain point, Amazon dictates the prices. I attempted to lower, but Amazon wouldn't let it fall below the amount listed. |

Tons of Indie authors have their books @ $.99. I know that it takes some time to 'take effect' on the page, though. I would definitely try out your first one at $.99, and if I like it, would pay more for the second. It's just good marketing. |
