New to Kindle couple of questions

First, how do you delete samples of books.  Second my cursor will not go to the MP3 player part, any suggestions?  Thanks.

What type of Kindle do you have? I've got a K1 which I think has a different method from the K2s or DXs.
you basically need to get to your menu to 'manage content', then there will be some way to select a book/sample, and then bring up a menu that will let you choose delete content

Assuming you have a K2.

To remove books, highlight with 5-way, slide 5-way to left and then press to delete.

MP3 player, first make sure that you copy mp3 files into the mp3 folder.  Alt - spacebar to turn player on and off.

thanks I deleted a sample.  So your saying you first must have music files before it will go to the Mp3 player.  And to do this you go to amazon the website and send the files?

It's not really an MP3 player per-se, meaning the only controls are on and off.

To get MP3 files on your kindle you must plug it into your computer via the usb cable.  Use windows explorer to open your kindle (it's basically a big flash drive) and drag and drop your own mp3 files into the mp3 folder on your kindle.

One of the software updates (I think it was sometime around the announcement of the K2) gives you another option for deleting content on the K1. You no longer need to go to "Manage Content" - instead move the cursor to the line with the item you want to delete and hit the backspace key on the keyboard. You'll get the prompt for deleting it. Much easier and faster - really should have been there from the beginning. Now for folders...

Learned something new today.  Now to figure out how to use my MP3 player without the kindle LOL
