Hi all,
Love my new kindle - a quick question though that I haven't seen on the forum.  Does Amazon let me know if I try to order a book that I have already bought for my K2?
CRS syndrome kicks in frequently and I would hate to buy a book that I had already bought.  (Though truth be told - I've done it with regular books more than I care to admit !)
Thanks!

When you are viewing the book on Amazon at the top it will say if you have purchased this book and what day the purchased was completed. his has saved my bu....... several times. Grin

As far as I can tell: yes. As long as you're logged on to Amazon (where your user is the same one as the one where you bought your Kindle and books), it will say at the top in a yellow banner ... I think ... that you bought the book back on blah blah date. While I haven't bought multiple paper books that are the same, I could definitely see that happening to me with the one-click system. Thank goodness for Amazon remembering what books I've already got! Cheesy

It also does something if you're buying from the Kindle.  Like a popup or something asking if you're sure.  Amazon won't stop you from buying a different edition of the same book, though, eg., if you bought the MobileRead version of Pride and Prejudice, it won't warn you when you view the Penguin version.
