Excellent! Thank you so much, BookishMom!
He has just finished The River, Farmer Boy, and The Call of the Wild. I already have The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe on K1 for him, as I read it

I so wish my favorite series of "boy" books was on Kindle, by Ralph Moody, the first one is Little Britches. My older boys loved that series in paperback.
I read Magic Kingdom for Sale Sold and loved it, although I've never thought I was a Fantasy fan. My older son reads nothing but fantasy, he read all of Tolkien in the first grade and has never wavered in his love for that genre. He's the one I'm trying to broaden. If I take him to a book store, he picks up half a dozen new fantasy books. Right now he is reading a memoir of a crack addict (Nic Sheff); it's quite brutal and definitely NOT for children, but he's a young adult and I think it is good for him in a "scared straight" kind of way.
Thanks again for your recs, very much appreciated ~
