I have a monthly newsletter that I send out to subscribers. So I thought it might be cool to give some folks a chance to plug their Kindle title in my newsletter. Post a book blurb and link to your Kindle book below. I'll go through them and, as space permits, include a half dozen or so in my next newsletter (going out August 1). A few rules: HORROR TITLES ONLY if this goes over well we'll do other plugs for different genres. REAL HORROR, NOT EMO VAMPIRE LOVE STORIES My subscribers know my general disdain for this sub-genre. No dark romances. Actual horror stories. (this extends to werewolf love stories too!) Post a professional book blurb: 100 words max. Keep it short and make sure it focuses on what the story is about. Don't tell us your history or how much you enjoyed writing the book. Tell us about your plot. Include a link: Don't make me go hunt for your book. I'm generous, but lazy

Thanks for the offer!
My novel VICARIOUS is available for the Kindle on Amazon right now for $1.99 (see cover art & link in my signature below). Here's a blurb about the book:
"When disgraced ex-FBI agent-turned-Boston-cop Steve Curran finds a corpse with no practical explanation for its death, the nightmares start again. Convinced the serial killer that caused his expulsion from the Bureau is once again haunting him, Curran soon learns his theories are all wrong. When the sister of the latest victim, Lauren Fields, uncovers an old journal detailing the hunt for a creature known only as the Soul Eater, she and Curran must confront the very real prospect that the killer is not of this world at all – and that his motives have little to do with killing, but all to do with something far, far worse."
Additionally, I have a few short stories that could also be classified as horror, both for 99 cents, on Amazon as well, but wasn't sure if you want those as well.
Thanks again! Jon

Ah, very cool... I've got one to add to the list: THE CANAL for $1.99: http://www.amazon.com/The-Canal-ebook/dp/B002IA09HY/ref=ed_oe_k/187-7507079-0677968Here's the blurb: When a body is discovered dangling beneath the Carroll Bridge, the first place detective Joe Lombardi turns to for answers is the canal. With its long history of pollution and neglect, the canal has a reputation for ruining lives -- Joe’s included. But to Joe's ambitious partner, Alan D’Angelo, Joe is little more than a canal-haunted liability, and Alan vows to unravel Joe's career by clandestinely manipulating their investigation. Except there’s one problem: as Joe and Alan set out to find answers, they’ll stumble across an unspeakable secret -- one that’s waiting for them just beneath the canal’s dark surface. Many thanks! Daniel

Here's one from me. My books aren't supernatural horror per se; rather, horrific things happen to people. I guess if you think "Saw" qualifies as a horror film, then my books do. Blurb time: Dan Freeman loves horror movies. After seeing the movie "Stalker," he gets very enthusiastic about it, emulating the title character and following innocent people around for fun and thrills. He wants to see how close he can get without getting caught. Close enough to eavesdrop on their cell phone conversations? Close enough to smell perfume? Close enough to touch? Dan suspects his girlfriend of cheating on him. One night, while following her using his newfound skills, Dan finds out an awful truth. Now the stalker becomes the stalked. Here's the link: Thanks and good luck, Dave Dykema

Hey, thanks! This is very nice of you indeed! Here's the blurb: In a Malibu beach house, David Lynx struggles with writing with his latest tour de force – a book on magic. It’s a subject he knows nothing about. In a desperate attempt to understand, he decides to perform an ancient ritual not realizing that he will unwittingly open a door for a forty-year-old unsolved murder spree to start all over again. The link: Thanks again!

Really?
That's great! It's so hard reaching this group. I don't know if people know just how picky the horror crowd in terms of what they embrace.
Thank you so much for this.

Oh, believe me, I know...I know.. My subscriber list is over 600 members, all opt-in. Many of them have been subscribers for years. I've worked d*mn hard to build that list, too. And I am always looking for new things to introduce to them to make sure the newsletter builds value. Since I myself am starting to focus more on our Kindle products, it is worthwhile to me to promote third-party Kindle products as well because it simply increases the value of the Kindle marketplace overall. Some people are willing to buy one book at a time. But I've found that, particularly in the ebook market, a lot of people tend to wait until they have found several titles to download at once. So presenting people with other choices encourages those with the bulk buying behavior to buy OUR Kindle books because they can fill out their shopping carts with additional books.

Oh, believe me, I know...I know.. ... Too funny! Why do you think that is? Naturally suspicious? "... Some people are willing to buy one book at a time. Rational. Logical. Sounds like a plan to me. I just have my fingers crossed that one of the horror aficionados breaks ranks and actually is actually glad they did! Thanks again and I will definitely let you know if I see any change in sales.
