kindle was discussed on NPR. I felt a fairly balanced talk (I would have been more biased toward Kindle Cool). Amazon's pulling titles was the main topic and secondary was ebook format.  if you search on the npr.org site you can find a couple kindle topics.

I heard it this morning, thought it was fairly balanced as well.

Here's the link.

"Authors get the most publicity at launch and need to strike while the iron is hot. If readers can't get their preferred format at that moment, they may buy a different book or just not buy a book at all." - An Amazon spokesman.

“It doesn’t matter how good or bad the product is, the fact is that people don’t read anymore. 40% percent of the people in the U.S. read one book or less last year. The whole conception is flawed at the top because people don’t read anymore.” - S. Jobs

Saw a story on Fox News Friday about a lawsuit over the pulling of the Orwell books.  Funny how that didn't happen when they pulled the Harry Potter books or the Ayn Rand books - the fact that they pulled 1984 made it easy to make the "Orwellian" connection, whether it was really there or not.
Anyway, here's the link to that story.

There's a thread on that topic here:  http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,12082.0.html
