Kristus finished it yesterday and I just finished it.  I'll post my thoughts on Part 6 and 7 tonight.  All I can say is ... OMG ... I can't wait another four years.

So, hurry up, you guys.

I found a DTB version of this today for $16.81....I was tempted to get it for a friend but she said under $15 so I didn't get it.  Of course, I randomly flipped it open and read a few pages.

Bad move.....

Come on Kindle price...drop!!!

I think it's gone down to $13.20.

Yeah - but it did that within, I think, 3 days of release & has hung there, presumably until it hits the NYT bestseller.
If I thought DG would get more royalties if I bought at a higher price, then I'd go ahead; but I strenuously object to higher profits going to the publisher for an ebook!

I think it went down to $13.50 for a while, but now dropped to $13.20.  I just hope it goes down to $9.99 this week so the rest of you can catch up and discuss it with me.

I'm not positive.... but I just saw a NY Times Bestseller list posted online (I don't always trust unfamiliar sites) and it's dated October 4, 2009 and it doesn't have Echo on the list...... if this is true...... AARRGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Can I double that?

It's getting mixed reviews on Amazon.  There are 60 reviews, so I'm guessing a whole lot of people bought the book.  And that's just Amazon.

The Amazon sales rank is #19 in books and $29 in the Kindle store.

My current plan while I'm waiting:
I got Outlander when it was $2.99 (before it went down to $2.39) for the Kindle & I've got the CDs.
I refreshed the last few chapters of ABOSAA & then read the sample of Echo.
Now I'm re-reading and listening to Outlander to re-capture the excitement of that first lovely book. So, I think I can content myself with this until Echo drops in price.
(At least I'm telling myself that for a while).

A lot of those reviews are people whining about the kindle price and rating it one star and people arguing that it's not the place to whine about the price and subsequently rating it five stars. At least, that's how it was the last time I looked.

Can I double that?

I marked the reviews whining about the price as "not helpful."

When I say mixed, I'm not talking about the number of stars.  I mean even those reviews that give the book four or five stars, still have a lot of things they didn't like about the book.

I'm listening to Outlander too. I read the sample of Echo and was confused. I'd forgotten so much. Doing a quick reread/listen too.

Super horrible news: the price actually went up! It's now $14.40.

I am thisclose to getting it at the library and not buying it at all until it comes way down.

Now - what was it I was going to do this weekend?Huh?

WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I made pizza last night (still have 2 meals left) and have a crockpot of taco soup in the refrigerator...... I WILL be reading this week-end!!  No time to cook.... or anything else for that matter!!  I had started the next In Death book last night once I saw that Echo hadn't made it to the NY Times Bestseller list so I'll "juggle" both books this week-end.  Who needs sleep???   Roll Eyes

I'm really really happy to have it now available to read; but knowing it will be so very long before the next one comes out & hearing that there are lots of issues left hanging, I'm finding myself this morning, reading very slowly & savoring almost every word. I'm not in a rush to finish; I want it to last a long, long time.

Looking around for a good audiobook to trade off with to keep it going. Maybe I'll try out the multi-cast/narrator production of Dune.

Okay ... no more excuses ... Echo is at $9.99, so get reading.  I finished it last week and haven't had anyone to talk to about it.  I'm sad, lonely and blue.  <sigh>
