Yeah, me too intinst... I set up a daily Google alert for "Kindle", so I get an e-mail each day that links to any new articles or blog posts about the Kindle. I'm starting to spend a lot of time rebutting negative reviews or messages about the Kindle. Lots of plugs for KindleBoards too!!! Grin

"The bottom line: A book is a book, whether it comes between a bound cover or on an electronic tablet.

It's what's inside that counts."

Very true. Love her review.

Wow. That has to be one of the better reviews I have read. She is honest about her initial ambivilance (sp), impressed with how easy it is to use, and willing to say that a book is a book no matter what the format. No hype or hyperbole. No buying into one form is better then the other. Just plain, it was easy to use, I like it, it is cool, and I will keep using it.

Maybe I'll forward that to J.K. Rowling!

An excellent article, thanks for the link. I have long-time warm fuzzies about printed books, but an hour after I got my Kindle, I was in love with it.

I remember the same kind of issues when digital photography came along. Many people dismissed digital cameras as toys or just a fad, but look what happened. I think digital media will slowly increase its market share and eventually reach a "tipping point," after which digital will dominate. As with digital photography, I'm happy to be an early adopter of digital reading.

Setting up google alerts? Sounds like a great idea. Now I just need to figure out how to do that.

It's very simple, go to http://alerts.google.com enter the keyword you want to be alerted about (in this case KINDLE), choose what type of results you want to see (News, Blogs, Web Pages, etc) or choose COMPREHENSIVE to see all of them, choose how often you want the alert sent to you (as it happens, daily or weekly) and then provide an e-mail address. If you are signed in to a Gmail account when you visit the page, that's it. If you are not signed in, then it will send you a verification e-mail that you have to view and click a link to begin your alert. I have several alerts set up and get an e-mail every day with any news on those items.
