MAD, adj. Affected with a high degree of intellectual independence; not conforming to standards of thought, speech, and action derived by the conformants from the study of themselves; at odds with the majority; in short, unusual. It is noteworthy that persons are pronounced mad by officials destitute of evidence that they themselves are sane.

Yes, it is.  Thanks for posting that.  When we first started the Klub, it was $1.79, but so many people were buying the book, it quickly went up to $6.39 (I think).  So now it's down again.

It was 2.99 a few days ago.  I think I'll go check a few books on my shopping list and see if any prices have dropped.

hmmm anyone have a link to this book? Every search I've done on Amazon just has Outlander in paperback, no Kindle format.

Here you go.

We had a book club on the whole series last year. As you read the book, you might want to read some of our comments.

I just checked the price and it was $7.19 for the kindle edition.  That's too much. For some reason,--I guess the reason is virgin Jamie-- Outlander is one of my all time favorite books.  I bought it years ago, and have reread it many times.  I like it much better than the other books in the series, although I have read and enjoyed all of them, too.  But it's the first Outlander that I truly love. Since I'm prone to rereading it, I thought I'd buy it for my Kindle.  But I can't justify paying $7.19 when I have the hardcover on my shelf.  I wish I had checked this thread when it was 2.39.  Oh, well.

When we first started the Outlander Book Club, it was $1.75.  So many people bought it to join the club that the price went up pretty quickly.  If I remember correctly, it went up to $6.39.

I ended up getting them all and paying way too much for Echo.  Never again.

You are so right.  None of the other books in the series lived up to the first.  I read it at least once a year.  It's about time for another read.
