They seem to have missed the fact that the Readius makers had to shut down business in July. If someone else bought the technology later, I haven't read about it. Nice pictures in that slideshow. Love how they say that the iRex $400 machiine is $90 cheaper than the "similarly" sized DX when the DX is almost 2 inches larger and already the PDFs can be less than ideal in being readable. What'll it be like for an 8" ? The Elonex - if their screens are really that light-colored that's a real plus for some who hate the gray of the other screens.

Kind of a funny quote about the Fujitsu FLEPia "Fujitsu's entry is the first and currently only commercially available e-reader with a color display. The bad news: it's available only in Japan. The good news: it costs more than $1,100, so who cares about the bad news?" Kind of of a weird good news/bad news, innit?

I thought that was funny too. . . . but that it even exists is a good sign for the future. . . . . .

That's how it needs to be done so people can decide for themselves.

Love the shape of the Bookeen Cybook and the color of the Fujitsu. Wow! $1,100 in Japan. Egad. Makes the KDX sound cheap at half the price. :-)

Eeeew...Just makes me appreciate my Kindle that much more. I love that there is competition; we will continue to reap the benefits. See how K prices have come down... Competition will keep Mr. Bezos on his toes for sure.

I dunno. There's people asking for a (cheaper) version of the Kindle without wireless.

That's only because people think that the monthly payments to Sprint are included in the price of the unit. I'm not sure how true that is, but it'd be interesting to see a cost break down.

I'm interested to see what the Asus eBook reader will offer. Dual color screens, internet access. Wonder what formats it will support and most important of all, will it have folders? Folders is a real sore spot with me. If it wasn't for the huge selection that Amazon offers, I would be tempted to look at other readers.
