I love that the last piece on it is a flute solo with Maxence Larrieu.  I'm getting the free mp3 album too.

You're all very welcome, glad someone else could enjoy the freebie...

For those who haven't downloaded yet, be careful, I don't know if it will continue to be free after midnight. So just make sure you check the price before one-clicking! =)

I went and downloaded it.  It will probably be free for the foreseeable future, Amazon has a surprising number of free albums, some of which are quite good (I have one of Celtic Music I like).  On the front of their MP3 page each day they also post a "deal of the day" which is an album for $2 to $4 (typically the normal price is $8-$12) and separately a "free song" which is free.  I've bought several of the albums, but the free songs usually are new artists that I'm too much of an old fogey for!  Tongue

Also, if you're on Facebook and become a "fan" of Amazon mp3, you get daily messages for the "Deal of the Day" and the daily free offering (usually the freebie is just one song).  The downside - I hate it when we're traveling and they have a great deal of the day & I can't take advantage!

The Hooded Claw:

Alas, the one I got is not, though they will now happily sell it to you for $8.99:

http://www.amazon.com/Celtic-Sampler-Summer-2009/dp/B002JJXA70/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1255559060&sr=301-1&tag=kindleboards-20

Too bad, I had figured on it being free still!  I made a stab at doing a search for other free Celtic albums to redeem myself, and didn't find any.

Not Celtic, but it is conceivable you'll like this one which is still free (early Christian choral music):

Just wanted to add that the Amazon mp3 downloads don't have DRM, and you can put them into iTunes and on your iPod (or whatever other mp3 player you want).  Truly LOTS of free music, and you can also subscribe to their e-newsletter that comes out every Tuesday with new freebies and special deals.  And at Christmas they have something like the 25 days of Christmas, a free Christmas song to download every day.

Here's a free mp3 album from Amazon, with symphonies of Brahms (#3), Mahler (#1), Saint Saens ("organ") and more (Amazon isn't very good with identifying composers, but at least they give us free stuff now and then).  Amazon posted it in Twitter:

Bonus free: "I Love the '80s (1880s)," a classical music sampler free for a limited time: http://www.amazon.com/I-Love-80s-Vol-1880s/dp/B002RHVBHU/ref=dm_tw_i_love_80s?tag=kindleboards-20

There is a Bruckner Symphony in there too.  The only way to see which symphony is written by which composer is to look at the info of the file (I see it in Itunes).

Although it's not free, Amazon is offering "the 99 Most Essential Christmas Masterpieces" for $5.00 right now.  It's six hours of classical holiday music that's perfect for reading some Dickens by the fire or trimming the tree.
