I had no idea that Amazon had free MP3 downloads. Now I can get free books and free music!

Well that was fun. This is the first time I've downloaded an MP3 to my Kindle. The music choice matches the book that I'm reading also!

Just wanted to add that the Amazon mp3 downloads don't have DRM, and you can put them into iTunes and on your iPod (or whatever other mp3 player you want). Truly LOTS of free music, and you can also subscribe to their e-newsletter that comes out every Tuesday with new freebies and special deals. And at Christmas they have something like the 25 days of Christmas, a free Christmas song to download every day.

Here's a free mp3 album from Amazon, with symphonies of Brahms (#3), Mahler (#1), Saint Saens ("organ") and more (Amazon isn't very good with identifying composers, but at least they give us free stuff now and then). Amazon posted it in Twitter: Bonus free: "I Love the '80s (1880s)," a classical music sampler free for a limited time: http://www.amazon.com/I-Love-80s-Vol-1880s/dp/B002RHVBHU/ref=dm_tw_i_love_80s?tag=kindleboards-20Marti

The link is in my last post. It's 5 hrs. of music! Here's a photo, which lists the composers:

There is a Bruckner Symphony in there too. The only way to see which symphony is written by which composer is to look at the info of the file (I see it in Itunes).

Although it's not free, Amazon is offering "the 99 Most Essential Christmas Masterpieces" for $5.00 right now. It's six hours of classical holiday music that's perfect for reading some Dickens by the fire or trimming the tree.
