Alrighty then!  Thanks for sharing that, Jason.  I have to agree with the guy that their ad implies it will survive a drop, and we in fact have had members whose Ks survived a drop, but others who have had damage.

I might have to copy the text of that letter.  Grin

Good for him. As quite a few of us know the screens were less than desirable due to sun fade. I feel like Amazon has great customer service, but I still had to get a 4th Kindle 2 before finding one that didn't have fading text. A good cover must help, because mine fell out of my car onto the pavement while in my purse and had no damage. I have it in an Oberon cover and feel that helped. Smiley

Well, Amazon kind of opened themselves up to that one due to the drop test video. It was a bad idea. Do they still have it on the website?

Yep - it's still there.  Surprising since the guy's letter was dated back in August - this letter coming out may have opened up another can of worms for Amazon.
