Alright, so far evertything is going along very smoothly. I'm pretty excited about seeing the end product! Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning! Place your votes for a title. Whatever is picked should be something memorable and attractive. Me, I'm open to whatever the final winner is-although let's refrain from "Zombie-spider-transvestite-worm-eaters-from-Mergatroid" for this one . We'll leave it open for about a week. That enough time? Cast your votes, and may the best title win!

Another idea:
Virtual Imaginings: Selections from the Cornucopia of KB Writers
(Virtual substituted for Patchwork, as the cover ilio is not done in a patchwork theme this time. We could do it next time, though.)

I liked this one, too. I don't like the "Patchwork" thing at all. To me, it implies that it is just something thrown together.

See, and to me, "Patchwork" implies lovingly handcrafted, using fabrics with special meanings, and meant to be kept for ever and passed down through the generations. That said. . .I like Virtual Imaginings. . .since it's basically an e-book effort. . . . . . .I wouldn't abbreviate KindleBoard to KB though. . . .no one but us will know what that means -- I assume the idea is to attract more than just us to buy it.

Should we amend the poll to include 'Virtual Imaginings' as a choice? Are people who like it just voting 'other'?

I like Virtual Imaginings...but the rest will kind of overwhelm the cover, especially for the print version...

VIRTUAL IMAGININGS seems to have the lead at the moment.
BTW, fellow anthology authors, is it alright if non-contributors vote on this as well? Personally, I don't have a problem with it, since they will want to see an attractive title for the book.

Yeah. . . .there isn't any way to stop anyone from voting in what is, essentially, a public poll. So: in case you're not an author/contributor and are not sure you should vote. . . .well, I think you should!

So, at what point do we declare this closed?
Also, I believe (whatever is chosen) we should add 'Vol. I'. I'm already working on a submission for the next one, and I'll bet several others are, too.

I'm going to close it next Monday, archer, just to give any weekend posters a chance. And I do like the Volume I part. I dont' have a problem with it.

Well, being a pragmatic type person, I wouldn't use Volume 1 unless I was dead sure there was going to be a Volume 2. Otherwise you may just make readers annoyed -- and/or confuse them because they go looking for a Volume 2 that doesn't (yet) exist.
Assuming a Volume 2 does get put together, it's o.k. for the first one to be called XXX and the second XXX: vol 2.

You're right. As an author who neither has submissions lying around nor the time to put together anything worth publishing in a week, I would appreciate the opportunity to participate later. I hope there's a volume 2. (I had a humor piece I could have submitted, but as it has so little to do with the stuff I usually put out, I refrained. Probably for the best...fifteen submissions is more than enough.)

There'll be a second book if I have anything to say about it. I'm looking for an excuse to update Inkblot's software... But I agree...Vol 1 probably should not be on the first book; it also limits title changes for future anthologies. For example, the cat bloggers did an anthology titled "We Are The Kitties: Read This Or I'll Bite You." The second was "We Are The Kitties... ...And We Writed You This Book." Slightly more interesting that WATK Vol 1 and Vol 2--and suggests to the readers that they don't have to read them in any particular order.
