So a crossbody bag with an external pocket I can slip my Kindle in and out of is essential for my commute. I have one gorgeous but huge bag that I love but it is really too big for every day use. I picked up a JTote but frankly it isn't holding up well at all, I am quite disappointed in the construction. About $250 down at this point and still no every day bag.

Well I ordered and received this one today. BCBGeneration Crossbody Handbag and so far I think it is a winner. The Kindle fits in the open front pocket. There are 3 zippered areas (arguably 4 but one is mostly decorative) with pockets for cellphones and the like. The cross body strap length is good. And although it is faux leather, I don't think it looks cheap. But it is cheap $32!

I too continue in the search for the perfect bag; the site doesn't show pics of the interior, so when you get yours loaded up, please post.

One question: would a netbook also fit inside, along w/ the Kindle?

I'll take some pictures Wednesday and upload them (I left the bag in my office). What are the dimensions of your netbook?
Also there are pictures of the interior if you click the video link.

Oh - I hadn't even noticed that video link; it might just do.
My netbook is 10.5x7.5x1.1 inches (per Amazon's website)

I'll look forward to your pics.

I don't have a netbook but I took a book that was 10 * 8 * 1.5 and it fit, it as tight but it fit, so it might work.
