It's here! Finally!

My Kindle was shipped along with all the other international orders last Monday (Oct 19th) and when it wasn't here by this Tuesday I started to make panic stricken phone calls. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that DHL are the most useless, incompetent bunch of fools I have ever had the sad misfortune to do business with.
Today I took matters into my own hands, rather than rely on their absolutely unhelpful tracing system, and contacted the local courier they subcontract the deliveries too. The girl on the phone rang the driver, who advised my parcel was on board his truck and would be delivered this afternoon (Thursday 29th).
And it was. Thank goodness!

It is beautiful. It came with all the books I'd pre-bought, and I have since transferred all the freebies onto it. It's now currently charging and I can't wait to get into my new books.

Funny thing though.....on the weekend when I knew I wouldn't have it til this week, I bought 2 books to read. Five People You Meet in Heaven, and Ben Elton's Chart Throb. I finished the second one just a half hour before I left work to come home and see if my Kindle was here. I must have sub-consciously paced myself reading the books.

BTW, Chart Throb was the better one of the two....I don't think I'm spiritual enough for Five People to have too much impact on me.
