I'm trying to decide on how to dress my K2. Right now it's naked but then again it's not even a week old  Cheesy But I'm loving using it and want to keep it safe  Smiley

I had pretty much decided on a zipped type case but then I had to see the post with the gorgeous Oberon covers and wow  Shocked amazing colors and designs!

However I've read that the cases are heavy (I find the K2 makes my wrist acke a bit holding it for long time reading now... so I wonder if this would just add weight?

Also, what kind of protection does the cover provide? I'm worried about screen scratches or damage when in my purse or laptop bag.

Thanks for any help  Smiley

In my opinion...If the cover has something to lock it closed, it will provide better protection for your K2 than a soft sided sleeve.

I had an M-edge Executive on my K1. It was very light.  Bought an Oberon for my K2.  The Oberon is gorgeous but I'm one of the people that has been complaining it is to heavy for me.  I recently purchased one of the platform M-edges.  I think it might be the perfect weight for my new K2.

There is no give in any of these covers so it will help protect the face of the K against heavy items and there is nothing to scratch the screen unless you place something inside the cover yourself.  The liner on the M-edge is a microfiber suede and the Oberon is a wool.  Both of my M-edges had a strap that slips into the top cover to keep it closed.  The Oberon has an elastic strap that slips around the button on the cover.  Neither would come loose while carrying it you purse.

I agree, the Oberon cover is kinda heavy.  But, it is good protection.  When in my purse, my K1 is in a WaterField slip case.  Perfect protection there, yet light weight and not bulky.

My K1 Sundog is one year and one day old today.  He arrived on Halloween last year.   Smiley

My bro beagle (1954-1966).  I still miss him big time.
His last collar hangs on my bedpost.

The weight is a concern as my wrists get tired already with the K2 -so that added weight might not be a good thing... But the covers are simply beautiful. I've requested a catalog and may have to make the plunge  Smiley

I'm going to look at the M-edge covers that's one I haven't heard of before. Thanks!

I looked at the Waterfield cases and these look very nice. Still searching for the perfect case... I might just have to order something as carrying the box back and forth isn't working too well  Grin
