I have a Kindle 1 (no problems) and I was reading today and all of a sudden get unexpected error message and told to go to Manage Your Kindle Page for more info. I did but didn't get help. I also don't see the book I was reading (and have been reading for two days listed). I can't get anything on my kindle now...even Amazon Daily - all give the same message.
Kind of scarey. Anyone else with this problem?
Actually this just happened....11:15 p.m. Sunday.

Did you try a reset?

Thanks, Betsy. I was reading a book from feedbooks.com. After much searching around the help page....I hit on this and it apparently worked. I deleted the book I was reading and reset again. (I had tried reset several times and it had no effect). I'd really like to finish the book I was reading but dare I risk it again? I think I will Thanks for your help.

Keep us posted. If it happens again, be sure to contact Feedbooks and let them know there's a problem with the book!

This post may be too late, and may or may not be of help to you, but just in case: I've had this happen on my K2 with a few different book samples from Amazon over the last few months, and in my experience, after deleting the sample and doing a reset or two all was fine, but downloading and trying the samples again caused the same error and required the deleting and resets again. Despite having the problems with the samples, when I purchased and read the books, there were no issues.

It's possible that the download was corrupted. I'd try the book once more (download it to your computer, not over Whispernet, if you were doing that before) to see if it happens again before notifying feedbooks.

Thanks to all for the help. I did reload the book and all is well and I am continuing to read. Apparently if one download messes up it freezes everything else. Thanks again.

Question... since my problem has been solved, how do I delete all of this from the board? It's just causing clutter. I pressed delete and it said I could not delete my own message. Or is there someone else who does this? Again thanks for the help.

You don't need to delete your thread. This might help someone else in the future who is having the same problem.
I'm wondering if we might be able to start a thread with samples we've tried that caused an error.

Yea, somebody is bound to have the same problem, and if searches finds your solution.

That's right, if there have been replies to the starting post, it cannot be removed. But trust me, this is not causing clutter. As has been said, someone else might have the same question. We've got clutter, no doubt, but your thread is not part of it! Betsy

Quit replying and it will sink. Oops, I just replied, didn't I?
