While I was waiting for my Kindle to arrive, I decided to read up on the Quick Start Guide PDF.  Under "Wireless Connectivity" on page 7, this is said, "You may be charged a fee for your use of other services on your Device, such as Web browsing and downloading of personal files,
should you elect to use those services. We will maintain a list of current fees for such services in the Kindle Store."

So I was curious on the list that has the current fees, so I went to the Kindle Store and I cannot find this list anywhere.  Does anyone have this list or a link?

Thanks!

I think it's somewhere in Kindle support. . . .haven't looked at it in a while.  The sentence is in there mainly to make it clear that, while browser usage is currently free, they reserve the right to start charging.  Really, the browser is so klunky -- I've heard it referred to as "slogging" rather than "surfing" the 'net -- that I don't guess many people use it for extended periods.

The personal files charge is currently 15 cents per MB, rounded up to the next whole, for US users.  It's more for International and those specific charges are spelled out when you select a country from the drop down list on the product page.  Actually, the US charges may be available that way too.

Of course, you can avoid the 15¢/MB charge if you send documents for conversion to the free.kindle.com address.  In that case they send 'em back to your computer and you load 'em using the USB cable.

This is the only info I've found:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200375890&#whispoptions

And, it's a different topic, I guess, but I do occasionally use the web - I stick to mobile-oriented websites for news, weather, sports scores (for hubby), and gmail, and those work fine. We also don't want them to start charging for downloading free books, such as from manybooks.net (this is web-based).
