I got an M-Edge Platform jacket for Christmas which I am very pleased with and also the e-Luminator2 Booklight from M-Edge in the same package which I am not quite so pleased with from the point of view of how it is portrayed on their site compared to the reality of it.  I was just wondering if anyone else has the same "issue" with it.

On the site, they show the light as fitting snugly into the confines of the side of the jacket, but in fact when it is installed in the pocket of the jacket, the light is longer than the jacket  and protrudes from the bottom of it by a couple of inches.  Not a big deal, but I am concerned that when I throw the jacket plus Kindle in my backpack with light sticking out of the bottom, the light might get damaged.  I would like to have the light with the jacket (after all I think that's what it is for) but it kind of bugs me that it doesn't actually fit the jacket as shown in their pictures -

Am I just being too much of a worry-wart?

Sounds like you got the booklight for the DX, not he K2.  I have the e-Luminator for DX and it's the perfect length.

I have the Platform (Pebbled Purple) and the light for K2.  Here's some pics I just took with my phone:

I agree that it does sound like you have been sent the KDX light.  Get in touch with M-edge, I'm sure they'll work out an exchange for you.

Thanks for the replies and the pics.  It definitely looks like the one I have is for a DX, although the packaging says K2.  I have sent M-Edge an email so hopefully they will get this sorted out.

They seem to take a while to respond to emails, you may want to call if you want it resolved quickly. I'm sure they will fix the issue though, you can't be the only one shipped the incorrect light. What a mess for them I bet!

I thought I would just follow up on this.  I called M-Edge and spoke with their customer service and the lady there was very apologetic.  She emailed me a return address label so I could send the DX light back at no cost to myself and I did this on Tuesday.  Today, the new light arrived so they must have sent it out without even waiting for the other one to arrive.

I want to let everyone know that M-Edge get two really big thumbs-up from me for most excellent customer service!  This is the kind of thing that guarantees repeat customers!
