don't know if you're aware but decalgirl is now offering all kindle2 skins, including custom orders, in a matte/satin finish for a small price upgrade. i know i've seen posts in which this was an option that seemed to have some fans - if you're one of them, your wish has been granted! |

They are awesome, aren't they?!! They asked for suggestions via Facebook and I suggested the matte finish (as I had seen many asking for it), had a little chat with them and now, less than a week later they are offering the option. I hope to order one soon!!
It IS great to see companies really listening to their customers/fans!

I was emailing back and forth with them about this last May, but they weren't real optimistic it was going to happen at that point. I'm glad they were able to work it out, and I'm thinking I need to order one now.

I know I had seen several people mentioning it here and when they asked for suggestions I guess I just put them over the edge. I've heard of many ordering so I hope they find this option profitable!!! |

I change mine every couple of months, which drives DH nuts. He just got his first skin though (I want to check to see if it's a vampire before putting it on his K2i first) and doesn't know that he'll want a change in a little while.

Gosh. Hmmm. Really gotta think about this one. I have had 2 skins, both from Decal Girl, and loved them. But I recently got tired of the latest skin (starry night) and took off the front. I have really been enjoying the kindle's nakedness (don't worry, she is in a a Bobarra cover!) but maybe with this matte finish, I may have to rethink things...

I must have just lucked out...I ordered a satin finish " Library" skin yesterday on the web site and just assumed it had always been an option. I'll post pics when it gets here if nobody else has had a chance.  |
