I am looking for a water resistant cover for backpacking. The cover also needs to protect the screen from being poked with sticks by having a fairly ridgid front cover. I have always had good success with Patagonia quality in the past but wonder, based on the reviews on Amazon, whether it fits the bill

Anyone here have any experience with this cover or are there better options?

PS I already have the Amazon leather cover and wonder if there is a water resistant/proof slip cover that would fit over this cover/Kindle 2 combination.

Have a look at these...this is a very good company and I believe some people on the KB actually have them. Smiley

Ya, the reviews are pretty harsh on the Amazon site.  I like mine because I want to zip it up.  It does zip a bit stiff, but it seems to be easing up with use. Despite the poor reviews, it still seems to be a top seller. It seems a lot of things Kindle get bad reviews on the Amazon site - look at the newspaper reviews. But, I have been happy with everything.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at the SF Bags and they are definitely a possibility.

They Amazon reviews are harsh, aren't they? I can't tell if there is a quality control problem with a variation in how they are made or maybe a wide variation in customer expectations or what. I guess I wouldn't mind about a stiff zipper since that is common in the water resistant types and I would expect that. I am more worried that the Kindle will fall out of the corner tabs. Also, is the front cover protective enough of the screen?
