Whether you are a Kindle virgin or have had your pages read more than once, what 10 books do you think are a must?  When listing your books, please list the genre and why you chose the book.

Mine are by what I read and re-read, of importance to me only.   Wink

Soul of a Butterfly by Muhammad Ali
Murqaba: Art and Science of Sufi Meditation by Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi
ChiWalking: The Five Mindful Steps for Lifelong Health and Energy
Home Comforts: the Art and Science of Keeping House by Cheryl Mendelson
South Beach Diet Dining Guide by Arthur Agatston
Tao: The Way by Lao Tzu
Word Warriors: 35 Women Leaders in Spoken Word Revolution by Alix Olson

And there is another poetry book but I forget the title.  Will look it up later when my Kindle is out...

I'm not sure how to answer this, since if a book is truly a "must-have" for me, I'll probably buy a printed version. Also, many of my must-have books are not available for Kindle.

But if I go through the books currently on my Kindle (or archived), the 10 most important to me are:

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman -- a classic in the religious-fantasy genre (if I may coin a genre)
Dune by Frank Herbert -- a sci-fi classic
American on Purpose by Craig Ferguson -- a very interesting autobiography quite well told
Inferno by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle -- another religious fantasy
Works of Mark Twain from Mobile Reference -- need I say more?
KindleBoards Member Recipes by Shizu
Moby Dick by Herman Melville -- again, need I say more?
Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett -- a surprisingly moving YA novel
Lord Valentine's Castle by Robert Silverberg -- a sci-fi classic with some superb imagery
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss -- first book in a fantasy series for which I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment
