Sendie, yes, I ordered the DTV of this book. I went to this site:

http://www.christianbook.com/nkjv-chronological-study-bible-hardcover/9780718020682/pd/020682?item_code=WW&netp_id=526605&event=ESRCN&view=details#curr

Underneath the picture of the book is Additional Views. I clicked on that, and for me, I felt the paper version would be preferable.

If you are interested in this bible, I would suggest you look inside the book on the above link. Then download a sample of the e-book to your Kindle. See which one you would prefer.

P.S. I ended up purchasing mine from Amazon because it qualified for free shipping.

I started reading this on Kindle yesterday by reading all the introduction material.  I found it very informative int he timeline of history. It is formatted well and all the links work. I also looked at it on the iphone and what I like about that is the parts that are in sidebars is blue background on iphone. On the kindle they are indented slightly and have an * in front of them. So it is going well over kindle.

I learned some intersting ideas about why the moon and sun are referred to as "the greater light and lesser light" in Genesis, as opposed to sun and moon. The readings discussed the Gods that were being worshipped in other religions at the time and the testaments wanted to set God above them.

I picked up the DTV tonight at the bookstore and hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to look at it.  How are you liking it so far?

I like both versions I'm reading.  This version does provide more history, which does interest me greatly.

I showed it to my boss, and she said she doesn't really like King James Version because its hard to understand.  I may be returning it if this is true...

This is the NKJV, so it is much easier to read, much.  I had the same problem with the KJV.  She may like to download Kindle for PC and then pick up some samples of various versions of NKJV of the Bible.
