Ok, so I got my Kindle in October, and decided to do a one year Bible. I liked the look of the one you guys did last year, so I bought that one. So far, so good, but is there anyone here also reading it who wants to partner with me? It'd be good to have someone to hold me accountable for doing my reading, and to discuss it with.

I can't think of anyone who is doing that particular one this year. But the reading plan is almost identical to that in the Grace for the Moment Bible by Max Lucado. I would think that you would fit right with the group who are reading that one.

I have been thinking about doing the one from last year, again this year, along with Max and the Chrono. If I have the right Max one I am disappointed in what is there, one verse and a comment. I am sure there are some others who have not chimed in that may be doing the same thing. So if you have comments, go ahead and comment, I for one am reading all the comments in all the threads in this Klub

I was reluctant to mention it BUT, since you brought it up- The Max Lucado isn't for me and I probably won't continue it. I haven't purchased the crono yet, but I will probably do so now. I will re-read the OYB-NLT like we did last year. In my opinion, the best bible is the one you enjoy reading. There isn't a "best" translation IMO. I have so many different bibles I can't keep up with the minor nuances between them. I am just happy to share thoughts of the day! Lettie I have been thinking about doing the one from last year, again this year, along with Max and the Chrono. If I have the right Max one I am disappointed in what is there, one verse and a comment. I am sure there are some others who have not chimed in that may be doing the same thing. I for one am reading all the comments in all the threads in this Klub Same here. I decided to read Osnova's World English Bible cover-to-cover, along with Halley's Bible Handbook. So I'm probably totally on my own with that. But I'm still thoroughly enjoying reading ALL the comments. They help keep me motivated, even though the comments may not be directly about what I'm reading that day.

I got the this one last year and didn't finish, so I started it over on the 1st. So you're not alone.

I think just having this group helps keep us motivated, particularly when some stuff gets a little ridiculous - you will know what I mean when you get there!

I could have sworn it was the similar layout that we had last year - a section from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, one from Psalms & a Proverb or two.

Thanks for all the replies. So far, so good on keeping up with my readings. Of course, it's only the 7th. I've been reading a chapter a day of J. I. Packer's Apostles' Creed book (can't remember the title), too. It's been really interesting.

Got the right one now! Thanks Suzi - I am finding the wording a bit different from last year's so might make it through this one as well. I'm going to keep the journal, quick thoughts that sure won't hurt me to have Now to catch up, but I am to the 5th so should make it by tomorrow you know us old folk are a tad slow sometimes
