There is. Reason why my devices have bright colored skins. 1. To notice the absence of brightness in my bag I will know something is missing. 2. If I can't find it my mess of a room, I will easier to spot

Oh sure, until it beeps in mid-flight when you get up to go to the bathroom and you find yourself being tackled by your fellow passengers and the flight being diverted to the nearest airport so you can be hauled off the plane and interrogated for being a possible terrorist. I wouldn't advise anyone to use a device like this on a plane unless you want to risk causing a lot of trouble and end up on the news!

Simply using common sense and not being careless is much safer. Smiley

ROFL!!!!!!!! Haven't laughed that hard in a long time! =)

This is a great reminder of what not to do on the airplane for my upcoming trip. Maybe I'll break out my trendy digital bag and leave the kindle in it and the wear it around my neck while not reading...

I considered doing this - I bet it would get a smile from many of the flight attendents that know how many of these are left behind.

My coworker said he has to hold out for two more weeks (until his birthday) before he gets a replacement, in the meantime he is reading on pc Kindle and his iphone.

My co-worker received his new Kindle on Friday after being without one since the sad day he left his original one on the plane.  Grin

As he put it "I'm a happy boy!" Cheesy

What I'm thinking is that amazon should have some system that makes it hard to re- register unless you have the credit card, address , phone number, name ,ect. It seems too easy for someone to claim a lost Kindle.

According to my friend, Amazon said they would NOT re-register it to anyone else after he de-registered it.
