Product Description
This literary thriller revolves around Parker Sloane. When he returns from a dismal foray into third-world cash-smuggling to his childhood home in the woods of New England, it seems he’s seeing his country and his blended stepfamily for the first time—and finding both just as twitchy, desperate, paranoid and unpredictable as the underworld types he thought he’d escaped.

Before he can even unpack, Parker goes head-to-head with his relatives—his tyrannical stepfather, seething younger brother, newly evangelical mother, and his alluring younger half-sister Rita—and with the demons they never exorcised.

Delicately but disastrously, Parker attempts to keep his family from imploding, unaware that they have their own plans for escape. The Moon in Deep Winter combines the dark comedy of the Coen brothers with the doomed lyricism of Denis Johnson, creating an airtight world of homicidal family dysfunction.

I can't wait to receive the sleeves and strap that I ordered. I was so happy to see the strap as an option.  I wish they would hurry up and get here.

At the time that I ordered I did not realize that we could ask for special changes. I wish that I would have known. I would have ordered one of them a little bigger to accommodate  a case and light if I wanted to take those along. Sad

I just love some of the pictures that members have posted with their gorgeous leather covers and these beautiful sleeves! They are just absolutely perfect together and one would think had been bought together as a set. I am drooling over those, even though I really do not want a leather cover because I can't do heavy things as I have a chronic illness. Well, I want one...just couldn't use one!

Loving the Nancy Drew motif! Brings back memories.

I love your designs, and have actually canceled my order for a sleeve so I can order from you! I am wondering if it would be possible to slip a stiffener into one side to protect the screen of a naked Kindle? Maybe a bit of plastic like what Oberon uses, or even a bit of cardboard? I would love to have that sewn into the fabric, but if not no biggie, I can just slip it down inside! And I love the add-a-strap option! That is just great!

Magreen, I can insert a piece of plastic canvas or cardboard for the screen protection but please note that the sleeve will not be machine washable. Please let me know what you think.

Jbb, I am getting concerned for your order as it's been a while since I shipped. Please let me know if you don't receive this week, we'll figure out what to do..

If I paid $10.00 extra to cover the fabric and shipping from the ebay seller, would you be willing to make one from it? Does the fabric seem suitable (size, material, etc...?)

Actually, I was just thinking about contacting you as my sister and I just returned a little while ago from shopping today to buy something else instead since we just couldn't wait any longer. I do not know how it was shipped or where from, but do you have any tracking info? If not, I am presuming that my package got lost somewhere along the way.

I got my bag! Custom made with stiffener in one side to protect the screen and removable strap! I love it! It's the perfect size and the Japanese Lotus fabric is just beautiful! Thank you sooo much! Now I am even more excited to get my Kindle so I can try out the bag!

Question: are you using the same sleeves for the Kindle 3 even though it's a smaller device than the 2nd gen Kindle or the Nook?  I'm waiting on my K3 to ship and would like to get a sleeve for it to protect it while "riding" in my purse.  I would need something that is really stiff to protect the screen while it's in there (not too concerned about washability of the sleeve).  Thanks so much!!

Hi Emily
all my sleeves are made for individual sleeves. I make kindle 3 sleeves a little smaller than the ones pictured in m flickr. Kindle 3 is so popular I made quite a few sleeves for customers that didn't receive their baby yet.. I also started adding plasic canvas on one side of the sleeve for screen protection. Please let me know
Thanks!  Smiley
