Hello all!
Just thought I'd pass on some recent discoveries to help with book marketing. In an earlier discussion on this subject, I mentioned that I have utilized geocaching to help "spread the word". I've expanded this a little by writing trivia or quotes or sayings on the backs of business cards created for
The Legend of Oescienne (it helps that most of these are written using the characters of the language I invented for the book - this way it draws people to the site in order to decode the messages). It might be worth it for you to do the same - vistaprints.com is a good place to go to get the business cards made (I was able to design them myself, with the cover image of my book and a 'dramatic' quote

)
I have also just discovered zazzle.com. It looks like a great site where you can design your own buttons, t-shirts, caps, mugs etc. The site also allows you to set up your own storefront and sell directly from them. I haven't had time to really research it yet, but I set up an account and hope to utilize it in the future (someone at a book festival once mentioned that the YA and teen audience likes buttons a lot (for their backpacks), so that might be something to look into). Anyways, just thought I'd pass on the info! Hope everyone is good and happy reading!
