I have not used my card today except buying to books for $2 each. However, instead of getting charged $2, It's been taken $20 for each! Sort of half-panicking here.. It's a lot money when you have used all you have on kindle  Tongue

Solved!! I'm so relieved! It's my bank. They don't charge extra, but to be sure I have enough money for the things I buy, they draw out a round number and put it back in two-three days. Wonderful service both from my bank and from amazon, I can't tell how relieved I am!! I thought maybe someone hacked into my bank or something haha. Paranoid...

Again?  On a bank credit card I've had for many many years, that has only happened once.  Maybe five - six years ago.  They called me because the charge looked unusual.  Yes, sort of.  I had made a purchase at Bose locally (B&M store) in the Chicago area.  Few days later there was a few hundred dollar charge at a Radio Shack in Wisconsin.  Bank card called me.  No, not my charge.  Closed that card and started a new one with them.

Yep, again. I think it was maybe two years ago when Apple called me, wanting to know if I had ordered an iPhone. Nope, wasn't me. That was also on my Discover account.

If Discover is a frequently used card, it may just be bad luck.  I would recommend looking at your credit reports to see if there is any signs of id theft, though.

Might also ask on the MyFico.com forums to see if anyone else has repeated problems with their Discover card.

For whatever it is worth, I've had a Discover Card since 1991, and have never had any ID theft issues.  I had a Visa card number stolen once several years ago, I'm not sure how.  Several absurdly small unauthorized internet purchases (less that $10 each) were made from obscure sites.  The issuer changed my card number, and no more problems since.

It was my most frequently used card until they changed the cashback bonus terms. I've been using it less and less in the past several months.

I have an Equifax account, which alerts me if something odd is happening on my credit report.

I just went and updated all of my autopay accounts. Again.  Undecided

I sign up for their "5% rebate" categories and use it for those purchases only.  What do you expect, I'm a melodrama villain after all!   Grin

Yep, that's it for me too.... Now that I've changed all of my autopay to my Visa, it'll be that much less. It's too bad, that was my go-to card for about 15 years.
