Great thread You know you're a writer if . . . . . . you are constantly organizing the notes that you have written down on random scrap pieces of paper onto larger random scrap pieces of paper . . . instead of two pillows in your bed, you rest your head on the two volume Shorter OED each night to go to sleep

You know you're a writer if...
You see people only in terms of how eloquently and innovatively you can describe them on paper.
And if you despise words ending in "ly"
I am resembling that remarkedly akchooly. What would the world be without adverbs? Worldly-less?

... All of the above, and:
You have to proofread the restaurant menu even though you're starving and really should just order.

...you've reached the point where you wish that just once, when introduced to someone who squeals, "You're the writer!" you can squeal back, "You're the town whore!" because deep down, you know it's not a squeal-worthy vocation...

Thumper: You LONG for the day that when you are introduced to someone, they squeal, "You're the writer!" OR You secretly wish that all those at your place of work who are still learning that you wrote a book, would go out and buy that book Not sure if those make sense . . . oh well! 'Tis late and I'm tired -Jenna

That's what you have "Autosave" for.
Yes and it was set for every thirty minutes. It is now set for every two minutes.

You know you're a writer if....
1. You are only truly happy when you write,
2. You begin to identify sensory experiences on a shifting plane of description (i.e. colors have smells, sounds have colors associated with them),
3. You see life as an endless series of possible descriptions.
